What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIII)

2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Cream - Wheels of Fire - vinyl
This is the must have LP from Cream made between 1967 and 1968. I bought it at the time. One of my Oxford friends had it as well. It was appreciated a lot by us but banned by his fiancé. I can’t think why because the music was way ahead of its time. It sounds amazing and demands really good timing on your system to be fully appreciated otherwise it will sound heavy and you will loose timbre of their instruments and vocals.

The divine Ms S. This is the 2001 4MWB vinyl reissue. Not ideal maybe, but it's what I have...
Thanks to Iconoclast for the recommendation, brilliant honkytonk bar-room music. CD now ordered, he’s a serious guitarist, I’m not sure how I missed out on him before.
AC > DC - For Those About To Rock.
Today, of all days, it simply has to be this ................... 'nuff said.
RIP, Malcolm.
Popping in to the kitchen to prepare tonight’s Chana masala, I realised I had no AC/DC digitally, so Tidal it is. I’ll play a couple of albums on vinyl later.
Elbow on CBS This Morning: Saturday segment Saturday Sessions plus a live recording
Just to remind me how blindingly awesome they were. Before the shitstorm of the new album hits us all.
Now Playing......

I played the first three sides of this at what must have been the same time. I feel it's more bitter political rant than music. Funnily enough I've not felt much urge to revisit this since buying it shortly after it came out.
Now Playing.......
ARVO PÄRT: MISERERE - THE HILLIARD ENSEMBLE, ORCHESTER DER BEETHOVENHALLE BONN

Mary Gauthier - Mercy Now
What I was actually streaming in the kitchen when I posted the wrong screencap above, followed by the disc on the turntable now.

I saw them twice, once at the old Wembley stadium and second time at the Students Union in Cardiff (approx 1200 people).

Great tunes, sadly missed.
I saw them a couple of times at a little pub just down the street from where I lived in the early 80s.
(1997)
Always fun, so its on play.
Gilmour alert!
Tonight ............... Beeb 2 at 22.40 .................. highlights of last year's "Live At Pompeii" surely worth recording?

They have a great selection of lovely Pärt, it was their vinyl, that first introduced me to him from Tabula Rasa in the mid-80s onwards.,

Both jolly fine high energy rock albums! I purchased one of the recent 180g reissues (remastered?) of HtH - tremendous pressing, with no noise between tracks. I have to wait until there's no one else in the house before playing either of these two!

Thanks, I shall set the recorder.
For those with Sky, on Sky Arts at 7:00pm there's a 2-hour programme on the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour, followed by the story of Wish You Were Here.
Unfortunately I don't have Sky, but it could be quite an evening for Pink Floyd fans.
CD2 on bonus cd of origanal.
great version of " 11 o'clock tick tock"
