My third play for this album and I'm finally starting to hear some of its beauty. Lovely tone from Pepper with some delightful improvisation and feel.

This will inevitably end up being one of those albums to return to.

Clive,

I am not big on horns so this album (which I like a lot) is one of the very few I own. Two other excellent requisitions that I recommend are Zoot Sims and Garry Mulligan:

The Zoot album's XRCD version (which is sold used at a very reasonable price) has a great sound. The Mulligan/Desmond is a unique piano-less ensemble. Have a good Sunday.

Why can’t all recordings be as good as this typically classy offering from Ry? The Tablette 10’s are relishing every nuance. The back to front and wide spacious sound stage is something of a revelation.

Musically super sophisticated stuff.

I so enjoyed listening to 23 Skidoo's debut album Seven Songs the other day, I've decided to ressurect their debut 12", "Last Words"/"The Gospel Comes To New Guinea" from 1981. On vinyl, natch:

1992 - Vinyl - UK first pressing...

I saw them play at the Brixton Acadamy mid 90's, They were Late, Very Loud, Very Very Angey then Pi$$ed off early, Brilliant.

I've never seen them live, but I did catch Tom Morello at a small venue in Vancouver a few years back. He's quite something.
