The Ragpicker's Dream - CD Rip

If live music recordings of instrumental R&B with power and energy are your thing, then I suggest checking this out - which I keep digging out, as it's just so good.
If you are a vinyl-ist, I'd suggest the recent-ish Speakers Corner edition. There appear to be various CD issuances and having heard one, it wasn't a patch on the vinyl version I have.
Musicality to burn and a 'Whole lotta Love' too.
First time hearing this gem, nice base throughout
Jim Hall - Ron Carter Duo 'Alone Together'. CD-rip. Nice one.

Eva Cassidy - Songbird.
Having recently been tuned into Eva by several contributors to this topic, I'm steadily acquiring her back catalogue, over on The River.
So, this one then, a compilation, and a good introduction to her body of work.
Strays into jazz, here and there, but none the worse for that.
A lovely album. Eva's rendition of Fields of Gold is quite stunning.
the live sessions are better ,one take live cant be beat. check it out
I've got that too, audio1946.
These posts have also prompted me to give Songbird a play and it's every bit as good as I remember.
"One Take Live" - can't find it anywhere ................ help!! ................ please post a cover so that I can track this one down.
(only posting this plea for help, as the previous one slipped onto the last page, and I really don't want to miss out on this).
I had taken audio 1946 to be referring to this:
...as is has the live version of Fields of Gold (among a lot more).
M
Got it!
Phew, thought I’d missed an essential element of Eva’s catalogue.

Michel Petrucciani - Marvellous. 1994. CD-rip
CD 13. W A Mozart - Violin Sonatas, Piano Duets, Duo for bassoon and cello.
Steely Dan. Can't Buy A Thrill. On original vinyl from 1972. Hours ago this was in the used bin. Who knows how long since it was last played? Fresh off my Okki Nokki it's sounding fantastic. I feel I did buy a thrill and it cost me $6.
One of Blue Note's greatest mainstream hard bop dates, Song for My Father is Horace Silver's signature LP and the peak of a discography already studded with classics. Silver was always a master at balancing jumping rhythms with complex harmonies for a unique blend of earthiness and sophistication, and Song for My Father has perhaps the most sophisticated air of all his albums. Red Hot Chili Peppers. The Getaway. On 2-LP, 180-gram vinyl from 2016. A great Peppers' album and the vinyl has twice the dynamic range of the CD version! Just wish they'd have pressed it on a single 140-gram LP.
For all Anouar Brahem fans - Qobuz dicount prices just now
1962 - Tidal...
Just finished.......
Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool
Kicking off a Tuesday Morning.......

Very not serious. But still very fun on the hifi..
One of few that are hot when not..
One of the greatest albums - and covers - of its era (Power, Corruption & Lies by New Order) on original UK vinyl pressing.
