Brothers in Arms quite a hot mastering of an early digital recording

Yep I know it isn't strictly blues. A few trax off their up and coming album.

Today's arrival, first spin.

Initially, I was going to get disc #2 of Barron's Live At Bradley's but instead I opted for this later work from 2016.

Kenny Barron – piano
Kiyoshi Kitagawa – double bass
Johnathan Blake – drums

Good call Haim, haven't played this for ages - giving it a very enjoyable run now via Tidal while making Sunday dinner.  Cheers N.

Eric Clapton - Sessions for Robert J.

The "other" Clapton tribute to Robert Johnson.

A storming one take, "live in the studio" album, with able support from the likes of Billy Preston, Doyle Bramhall, Chris Stainton, Nathan East and Steve Gadd.

Oh, and the accompanying DVD ain't half bad either.

Jan Lundgren - Potsdamer Platz.

Following on from Kenny Barron - this is a very enjoyable album.  Tidal.

After playing guitar all afternoon, learning a Duke Ellington piece, I thought I'd carry on with some jazz for a Sunday evening.

Thought that I'd give this a try on Tidal. Liking it so far!

Bought this at a second hand shop in the late 80's as an accident. But what a found find fiend this has proven to be.

Always harboured a soft-spot for that as it was my first Hendrix album.

I seem to be playing this a lot.  Lovely album.

Classic Can vinyl bootleg containing a jaw-dropping 13-minute version of "Little Star of Bethlehem". Monstrous grooves!

T.Rex - Electric Warrior

For reasons only known to my inner psyche I felt a sudden urge to return to this after many, many years. At first I thought about stopping it, but after Jeepster, and the Get Ot On, side two is just one big smile after another, culminating with this...

The odd single aside I don't think they were ever this inventive again as formulaic boogie made him money he can't have dreamt of when he started out. But who cares, he had fun while it lasted.

Back in the groove and giving their latest psychedelic rock another spin.

Bjork, Debut, WAV CD Rip.

She is as crazy as a box of Frogs, as is this Album. However Play Dead is one of my favorite tracks Ever, it always ends to soon for me.

June Tabor & The Oysterband - Freedom And Rain

And by way of contrast a classic of folk rock, where June lends her tonsils to snugs by Shane MacGowan, Richard Thompson, Lou Reed...

...and good old Trad. Arr.

Savage Garden, WAV CD Rip.

Some good quality Pop, I always enjoy this album.
