What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIII)

2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Bassist Charlie Haden and pianist Hank Jones perform a variety of spirituals, hymns and folk songs as duets.
Jeff Anderson posted:I marvel at artists who have written hundreds of songs and can receive a request live for something that hasn't been in a setlist for years and perform it instantly. On Jackson Browne's Solo Acoustic albums he receives an audience request that starts " do you remember....." and quips that people have a habit, now that JB is a senior citizen, of phrasing requests that way. His response is similar to "I don't know if I will remember, but I will try" and proceeds to play it note/lyric perfect. Wasn't it Neil Young who was known for having a notebook of his songs on stage during his solo shows to help with that situation ?
Anyway, thanks for your reply. Jeff A
I saw Richard Thompson play at the Lowry in Salford earlier in the year. He decided after an light-hearted audience request to play his song Salford Sunday in tribute to the venue, it took him 2 goes to find the starting line, he stumbled over one verse, and amusedly pointed out at the end that he’d missed out a verse completely.
On the original vinyl:-
Siouxsie & The Banshees - Tinderbox
After downloading and tagging 60GB finally back to what I like, listening...

Merry Christmas Simon, is that the 24/96 download? I thought that the most recent remaster was circa 2009... I'm probably totally wrong as usual.
Still ploughing my way through the five CDs of the Be Good Tanyas, started with the collection disc, in the morning (and after some Xmas duty) the rest of the repertoire.

If you can get your hands on their first CDs issued on the Castle label (France) you will be well rewarded, a dynamic Range of 13 - 14 and they sound wonderful, close to vinyl. Discogs will be your friend in finding them if you want to spring for yet more Sabbath.
