Katie Melua - In Winter -- featuring Gori Women's Choir
Streaming on TIDAL...... A mention from JAMES N above had me give this album a spin..... The missus loved it! Thank you, James!
Now Playing.....
Rod Stewart - Merry Christmas Baby
Streaming on TIDAL...... A mention from NIGELB above and the need for some more Christmas music while we trim the tree this evening has Rod providing some seasonal entertainment....... Rod has a lot of help backing him up on this album, lots of fun and sounds lovely!
If you haven't had a good listen to this collection I recommend you do sincerely.
Going to be a new collection in the new year as promised
Now Playing.....
The Chieftains - The Bells of Dublin
Streaming on NAS........ Something for the Red Hair Missus on Christmas Eve...... the tree trimming continues......
Life is Grand!
The perfect start to Xmas Day.
Merry Xmas to all Forum fans and their families..
Now Playing........
Keith Jarrett - La Scala
Streaming on TIDAL......... While waiting for Santa to come down the chimney I am going with the mention of JEROEN20, SJUST and EWEMON and take Keith Jarrett's La Scala out for a spin....... 28:30 into the first track and I think its the perfect album to sit in the glow of the tree and await Santa's arrival.
Note on ECM Records website here: (from 1997)
In his first solo concert recording in five years, Keith Jarrett once again makes history. The La Scala concert was the first recital ever given by an improvising musician in the world's most famous opera house. The concert - an instant press sensation - comprises two moving sets of solo improvisation, and Jarrett's most loved encore: the classic tune 'Over the Rainbow.'

OK, I guess I have trashed any forum cred I might have built up. Don't care, had a couple of Armagnacs and am enjoying this.
Rod Stewart's Christmas offering next.
Even me as a Christmas music hater might give it a try later, so don’t worry about your reputation....
Think it must have been at least 10 years plus since I have played this.

Discovered this on my Melco - one of SWMBO's acquisitions (honest guv!). What a truly awful recording - compressed to hell and beyond. So time to play a proper Christmas album (24/96 FLAC) -
Chet Baker - Baby Breeze
A good one from Chet Baker.
1994 - Tidal...

I trust that Noddy H is on your list too, Nigel. A timeless Xmas song is that.
