What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XIII)

2017 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread can be found here;
Based on some of the best lists of the year I sampled this one, quite good...
Mixed feelings on this one, now realizing again why I skipped buying this one...
Then moved to this one. Always like his playing..
Finally landed at this one. While starting to rip my big Amadeus Quartet box...
Ry’s soundtrack soothing my man-flu choked tubes...Bah!
G
Ry Cooder - Crossroads soundtrack.
Another one worth a listen from Ry ............. happy to share this one with you Graeme, though you can keep the flu to yourself.
(2006)
The unique Harry Manx with some smart raga infused blues.
"In gratitude I send these songs, these blues mantras out in dedication to the Divine Madmen who have heard existence itself whisper through their own voices and who in turn translated that sound into music. Those whose ways have inspired art and culture for so many centuries. And for what reason?... Because music is a great journey to be part of." - Harry Manx

Family - Anyway
Funnily enough I was going through some HDD's and played some of their albums last night.
Family were one of the early favourite bands with my friends. Not sure how many times we saw them, but Roger Chapmans vocals worked wonders at the Dagenham Roundhouse (Village Blues Club). Between 69-75, my musical education was established.

Not as nice sounding as the original vinyl I had years ago but a great live set.

1975 - UK first pressing...
Schumann, before everything else:
(2005)
A bit more from Harry, this one borrowed from Tidal.
Primal Scream - Screamadelica.
Always guaranteed to put a huge grin on my face, so, on this grim, grey, North Yorks. afternoon ............ this.
See, it works!
Nice to have a few hours to sit down in front of the hi-fi after the Christmas relative entertaining and travel fest.
Starting with Hannah Peel, a new artist to me and this album.
Imagine going from Barnsley to outer space. This is what Northern Irish electronic artist Hannah Peel explores on this new opus. It's the story of an elderly pioneering electronic music artist who dreams of leaving her Barnsley home and seeing Cassiopeia for herself
Hannah Peel - Mary Casio: Journey To Cassiopeia
CD Rip. Nice Album
Roxy Music - For Your Pleasure.
Let one before the footy starts ............. still the best Roxy album, IMHO.
Beth Hart - Fire on the floor

Jeroen, she has made some very good solo albums and quite a few with Joe Bonamassa, this solo is pretty good, enjoy your exploration.

I'm a long-time Family fan too. Roger Chapman is still performing. Mate of mine is going to see him soon at a gig in Southampton. Good on the old fella, I say.
Dull, overcast and very windy outside, but warm inside listening to Sonny Rollins.
Just before NM left the band. This is a lovely set and really shows the musical coherence - or otherwise - of one’s system.

Giving this album a play which i feel may lead to a stroll through some of my Massive Attack albums.
Another sound recommendation from Mr Marshall
Horace Andy - Living In The Flood

Bert Hart got my attention after seeing this sort (6 minute) documentary on Dutch television.
