Naim 52PS

Posted by: Dungassin on 08 January 2017

My son-in-law's NAC52 has stopped working.  No lights visible in it or the 52PS, so I assume the most likely cause is a blown fuse.   Just tried to find the manual for this on-line without success.  Looked at the manual for the supercap to see if that helped - it didn't.

Where is the fuse located?   IIRC, there should be a spare in a holder next to the original fuse.  If not, what sort of fuse should he get?

The fuse is located in a slide out holder next to the IEC socket.  The fuse rating is printed on the back panel - note it is different whether 115V or 230V.  (IIRC, a NAC 52PS 230v is a 4a T fuse, but please do double check).  Important to be exactly the same make, type and rating as supplied by Naim - therefore, get it from your Naim dealer.

Thanks.  I've relayed the info.  He says the old fuse is blackened at one end, so seems like that is the problem.  Alas no spare present, so he'll have to contact a dealer for one.
