Unitilite Advice

Posted by: Newmanr on 14 January 2017

Hi all,

I'm on the waiting list for a Uniti Atom which I was intended to use as a dedicated system. I don't really want to wait until May so i'm now considering picking up a Unitilite and taking advantage of the AV Bypass functionality and connecting to my AV Receiver.

So I have a couple of questions:

1) Do all unitilite models support tidal? I have seen one on eBay which is a 2014 model and i want to make sure it does support tidal.

2) Does anyone else take advantage of the AV bypass mode to avoid dedicated systems and does it work ok?

Thanks in advance

Ross

You could email Naim support to check but I believe all Unitilites do provided they have the latest firmware, which is easily installed if need be.

i can't help with the second question from my experience, but I would expect it to be fine.

I would say the same my 2016 Unitilite is Tidal enabled.

You can add Tidal to any Uniti that has the 192/24 capability by loading the latest firmware, which is a DIY task, and what I meant was that I believe all Unitilites have 192/24 capability out of the box.
