I have converted my Kans myself, not so hard really, the most difficult part is to remove the fronts.
Hi !
I now use 2 x Nap 100 driving Linn Kan active /Snaxo 2-4.I sounds excellent,it beats passive Nap 135´s.
Having used 4x Nap135 active Kans before, which was fantastic...
I would now like to use 4xNap 100 using one channel of each Nap 100,will there be any risk of damage using
just one channel in the power amps ?
Thanks, yes I´ve heard about stacking 2 pairs of Kans.. I might try that...
No there won't be damage using the NAP100 like this. You need to post a picture of your setup ![]()
This set up sounds cool!
I agree - this should be a very interesting system! System pix please.

Now that's interesting. How old are the 135s? Have they been recapped?
No this will not damage the amps and it's quite an improvement. You can read previous posts by Marc Newman, Ron Toolsie, and Polarbear about their impressions and thoughts. I'll be adding a second 200 at some point this year actually.

Thanks,I will check it out !
The latest Nap 135´s was from -96 and recapped by Class A -2016.
I also have had several Nap 135´s and 250´s in the past and active Nap 140 beats
the bigger amps when driven in passive mode.
Fling in a Dac-V1 and you have a brilliant half-sized hifi setup. And extreme good vfm.
A Dac-V1 would be nice,the rest of the system : NAT01/CDI/LP12/Lingo/Prefix/SC/82/2xHC/Snaxo/HC/2xNap 100/Kan
What about 4 x Nap 145 ? it seems being the Naim's best kept secret

Roberto,
The NAP-V145 is not an updated NAP135, it is just a NAP250.2 with only one channel, to be used primarily for centre channel duty in a multi-channel setup. The true successor to the NAP135s is the NAP300.
I recall when we tried at the factory a comparison of a NAP250.2, a pair of NAP-V145s and a NAP300. Best by some margin was the NAP300. Choice between the NAP250.2 and NAP-V145s though was more contentious. Considering the cost of a pair of NAP-V145s, you are best either saving yourself some money and going with a NAP250 or spending a bit more and going for a NAP300.
A friend who has 4-pack Nait 1´s driving active Kans,he has grounded the unused channel in the Nait.He believes that there will be problem with the stability of the amps just using one channel.
Before I buy another pair of Nap 100´s to go active 4-pack, I would like to know if I have to do some modification to the Nap 100´s .
I will also by another pair of active Snaics.

Hi Richard,
Of course i know, but just yesterday i was reading an early 2000 brochure ,and it seemed viable for video systems and audio as well. Btw it's not my business for the systems i have, it was only a consideration since it doesn't seem very popular out here.

Just a thought - wouldn't two 200s be better than four 100s? Or two Olive or chrome 250s. As well as not having half of each one doing nothing, you'd have far fewer wires. Back in the day Linn would supply the Kans as active. My then dealer, the wonderful Derek Whittington of Sound Advice in Loughborough raved about them on the end of four 135s, though unfortunately I never got to hear them.
Yes the Nap 200´s might be better, the advantage with 4-pack Nap 100´s would be one transformer per channel.
I had 2x Nap 250´s before I had 4-pack Nap 135´s into Kans, and I think the 250´s are very good but too slow.
