Naim DIN to RCA adaptors...

Hi, I have a setup in which the central "hub" is an old NAIM nac92 and nap90. However, all the inputs are DIN. Can you recommend a very good short DIN to RCA adaptor? Preferably under £100.

My second question is that for the tape output to work, it only works if I use a cheap DIN to RCA which has 4 rca outs (din on one side, 4 rca wires on the other side). Can someone recommend a higher end adaptor with 4 rca outs?

Thanks in advance.

Chord chrysalis or Naim's own on both counts. Ideal match for naim kit at this level. The chrysalis is only available secondhand but there's lots around in the usual places and costs anywhere from a tenner upwards.

For a cheap DIN to RCA adaptor, look for Mayware. Works very well and I actually preferred it to the RCAs on my 202 and 282.

I would just replace the cable with the correct one rather than using adapters.

If you don't want to spend loads, I would add Flashback to the suggestions above. You could get their Premiere DIN to 4 x RCA for less than your budget. Then again, if you can get Richard's suggestion for a tenner.....

I use a BASIC DIN to 4(F)RCA to connect both ways to my AV whole-house Preamp in a different room.  I have always thought the best upgrade from here would be to re-terminate the RCA of ends on the four long RG-6 wires using a good quality DIN plug.  Better adapters seem to me no more than a better stop-gap.

OTOH, I am told that inserting a bit of posh CAT-6 between the streamer and long network wire ads benefits, despite the added number of terminations.

Difficult to test all of the possibilities, unfortunately.
