DAC V1 Into 252 with LP-12

I had some good feedback last week on another post of mine and leaning towards a DAC V1. Uncertain about something though. I plan to run my sonos connect into the DAC and then feed that into my 252. I have an LP-12 as well. Can I also use the headphone amp on the DAC V1 to playback music from my LP-12 into headphones?

Unfortunately not easily as the DAC will only be providing an output to the 252 and you've got no way (digital inputs only on the V1) of getting the audio from the LP12 to the V1 headphone amp.

Thinking about it, you could run one of the tape outputs from the 252 to the line input on the Sonos Connect (digitised within the Connect) to get the audio signal from the 252 to the V1 but while that will give you a solution it wouldn't be as good quality sound wise as a separate headphone amp (ie Headline) connected to the 252.

I'm afraid to say that the DAC V1 isn't really meant to be used as a source component for a pre-amp like the 252. To be honest you'll get far better results with a Headline powered by a NAPSC which when set against the value of the rest of your system isn't that much really.
