HDX2, NDX2, uniti stream outlooks

The HDX2 would likely build on the Core's architecture but at full width, colour display & remote, and possibly DAC.

The NDX2 will build on the new streaming board and colour display from the uniti series but at classic level.

If this leaves the space for a shoebox size 'uniti stream' (the atom with Digital output and without amp section) remains to be seen. Though it's interesting that Digital outputs are missing throughout from the new uniti range (except for uniti Core).

Whilst most of these technologies are already there, I guess the big unknown is what naim is developing in terms of DAC technology (for HDX2 and NDX2 etc.). Have you heard anything on this front, please?

I don't expect anything like an HDX2, after all the HDX was developed in the early days of streaming (mine was a 2008 unit). It seems to me that the Core should be considered as its successor ...

I think it's fair to say Naim like to use and 'tune' and highly optimise the implementation of established industrialised components in their DACs, so I'd be surprised if we don't continue to see converter components from the Texas Instruments stable which is what they use currently for most of the streamers and DACs
