Where is the SL for the Snaxo, and does it replace the $995 Dollar Burndy, which connects the SCDR to the SNAXO 362?
Hi,
For your Briks you will need the Snaxo 362, which does not come supplied with the cable to connect to either the supercap (Burndy) or the hicap (Snaic). The SL DIN/DIN will connect the Snaxo to preamp, assuming a Naim unit. I am not sure whether there is a SL for use between HC and Snaxo.
Gerry
You will need to specify the SNAXO 362 for Linn Isobariks (standard is for DBLs). Because there are different requirements depending on which PSU you use, no SNAIC or Burndy comes with the SNAXO. You'll need to specify either a SNAIC5 for a Hicap or a SNAXO Burndy for a Supercap. You'll also need a SNAIC4 to take pre-out signal from the pre-amp PSU to the SNAXO PSU.
Interesting, when I ordered mine recently I was advised by Naim that the DBL version would be suitable for my (late model) Isobariks. If the Briks are the earlier PMS type then that wouldn't have been the case, or so I understand. Anyway, sounds pretty good to my ears. Although I (and my dealer) suspect that we could do with giving the treble pot a slight lift. Will get around to it at some point but happy listening and not tinkering for now.
I'm using mine with a non DR Supercap and using a Hicap DR on the 282. That's what I felt gave the best combination. Of course I'd like to put SCDR on both but...£££. Having recently added Superline/HC2 and replaced my last 250.2 with a 250DR I need to regroup for a while. All that being said, I'm not hankering after the extra SCDR at the moment. As the new 250DR runs in it's getting better and better.
Allante, having been an active Briks fan for nearly thirty years I believe that you'll not regret pulling the trigger and maybe getting a HCDR for the Pre may ease the path. 282/HCDR is still v good. Some actually prefer it to SCDR I believe. Active Briks give a very different presentation too. You may be a bit shocked at first.
All the best
Mark
Jusr realised you don't have a supercap on your 282 already. Doh! Anyway, if you can get hold of a decent pre loved non DR Supercap then I can testify that it will still do an ample job on your Snaxo 362.

Thanks guys, no such thing as to much information!
So on the Cheap, Since I will be broke, and no cables will be coming with the Snaxo 362!
HCDR is powering the 282 with SNAIC5
SCDR will be powering the Snaxo with SNAIC5, and Later after I rob a bank or two, the $995 USD Burndy!
I already purchased this from across the pond, Brand new, Open Naim Packaging!
Then another SNAIC4 Transferring signals from 282 to SNAXO, Then later after another bank job, The $1400 SL SNAXO IC! ?????
Wasn't sure about this one! Thanks guys, I guess I better start looking for a good deal on a Snaic4!!!!!
What is the Price of the SL SNAXO IC, for future reference? USD and GBP?
Am I on Point?
Allante93!
I'm not sure you can power the Snaxo directly from the SCDR with a Snaic5. Maybe someone can correct/advise on that. You could of course use the HCDR to power the Snaxo with a snaic then use the SCDR and two snaics on the 282 until funds allow for a Burndy. Even if you can go from SCDR to Snaxo with a snaic you surely won't be getting the best out of it so may find it more effective on the 282.
Yup, you can use the Supercap just like a big Hicap if you only have a SNAIC5 instead of a Burndy. It's better to use a Burndy though...
Allante93,
You will enjoy the Snaxo 362. Do ensure it is factory set for Isobariks. When you get it make sure to look up 'Snaxo 362 for Isobariks Question' on the Forum, because you will need to tune it to your room and set up. Its got loads of great help from experienced Snaxo users and was a tremendous help to me.
Regarding power supplies for the 362 only you can decide on budget for whatever cables to get. From my experience it is better to put your best power supply on the pre-amp.
I wish you happy active listening.

Correct, I'm pretty much stuck with the HCDR, and soon to be SCDR! budget wise$$$$
Got it, until I can pull off a couple of Bank jobs, Put the SCDR on the 282, with the 2 SNAIC5's That I possess now!
Put the HCDR on the SNAXO, Pick up an used SNIAC5 on Ebay, or Canuck.
And Finally pick up another SNAIC4, which has the duties of transferring the signal from the 282 to the SNAXO!
Great! Thanks Mr. Click!
Later!
And when I get the funds, switch over with the SCDR on the Snaxo, and HCDR back on the 282! $995 USD MSRP Burndy! Ouch!
And next year pick up the SL SNAXO DIN4, to replace the SNAIC4, But How much does it Retail for???? Anyone!!!!!
I Think I recall $1400 from a previous Post, I assume thats GBP, Because I pointed out that the SNAXO, itself only cost $1400 pounds!
Well, I guess I'm on point!
Out, We can close this Baby, just wanted to make sure, and I was correct!
As it pertains to HI-FI, no such thing as to much information!!!!!
I wasn't aware of the SNAIC4, which is necessary to carry the signal from Pre to Snaxo!
But it makes sense now, The PSs, are just that, supplying POWER! In my case (HCDR, SCDR)
Out!
