Naim250DR Review and test results online

Hi All, I have just read a glowing review of the amp with test lab results which paint a very good picture of this amp. I can't figure out how to upload it here so the best I can do is tell you I found it at pressreader.com under the heading Naim 250DR Review. It appears to be a website which collects articles from magazines and puts them in their own site. The original appears to come from Australian HiFi 1st Jan 2017. It is chock full of tests with plenty of info about loads, damping factor, distortions, total wattage under loads like 2,4,8 ohms ect. Much I don't understand but many of you will. It really sings the amps praises and answers (for me) the questions I always had. I hope you find it interesting. Cheers.

I have discovered that the article is in the latest edition of Australian HiFi magazine, last months edition included a review of the CD5XS player which is great also. It's available in digital format online and via subscription. Enjoy.

I would assume Salisbury will enter agreement with AHFM to publish this review on the site.

I hope so Chag, it is a glowing report and the test lab results highlight just how accurate this amp is, it was a revelation to read it and very reassuring for 250 owners and Naim. Seeing the output power in watts under real power was very handy for me.

Hi Ryder, I have it bookmarked, but I can't figure out post it here. I have Firefox, I type in naim 250 dr review, and scroll down to the bottom of page and do so until page 5, the 3rd link on page 5 says, Press Reader- Australian HiFi : 2017-01-01 - NAIM NAP 250 DR ... That is how it's headed on the search page. The URL, is that what it's called? says pressreader.com/australia/australian-hifi/20170101/282376924212865 I am sorry I don't know how to do it properly computers are not my forte. When you find it, at the heading it has a number which you click on to get to the next section on the Newport Test Lab results. That is really interesting. I hope you find it ok, if you have trouble I have ordered the magazine so I'll see if I can photograph it and put it up. All the best mate, Steve

I was able to find the review by simply typing in the words you wrote down into google,starting at "press reader",good review by the way,I think it was the third link down in google that I found it under.

Hi Steve, Thanks for the link. I have found the review via the link you have provided above. Certainly useful. The remarks on the signature PRaT, speed and transient attack of the NAP 250 DR (or Naim as a whole) were consistent with my thoughts. Cheers.

Cheers Ryder, the review is excellent, and the test lab report shows incredible results. The amp is a beauty for sure, it punches above it's weight. It's great getting test results which are not published by Naim, it makes it easier to see the overall picture.
