Chord Mojo to Supernait connection
Posted by: Amused on 23 February 2017
I have joined the Naim club recently. I have the SN1 integrated amp and I use the Chord Mojo as a standalone DAC as I find it superior to the SN1's built in DAC.
However, the trouble with the Mojo is that it only has 3.5mm line level output, which forces the use of an adapter or a specialised cable (3.5mm to 2 RCA or 3.5mm to DIN).
At present I am using the Audioquest 3.5mm to 2 RCA hard mini splitter which allows me to use any RCA interconnect .My cable at the moment is the Chord Epic Analogue which is pretty expensive and indeed very good.
However, I intend to go for the DIN connection instead of RCA as recommended by Naim. I would also try to skip the adapter and make the signal as pure as possible.
Several options:
1. Chord iChord 3.5mm to DIN (around £50)
2. Flashback Premiere 3.5mm to DIN (around £40)
3. Van Damme Ultra Black microphone cable 3.5mm to DIN (around £30)
Is anyone using the Chord Mojo with their Naim equipment and how are they connected? Which cable would you choose of the above listed?
Thanks!
