No rooms found - again ...
Posted by: Dozey on 14 March 2017
Since my iPad updated its operating system I can't use the naim IOS app anymore - it can't see my NDS.
Anybody know how to fix this?
My android tablet still works fine. I have rebooted everything (modem/router, unitiserve, NDS) and reinstalled the naim app on the ipad to little effect.
Thanks.
Any ideas chaps?

I suggest you email Phil at support@naimaudio.com and ask him to have another look at the thread and give you some advice. The guys don't routinely monitor what is posted in the forum.

The only other thing I can suggest is that in my personal experience and from being a regular in the streaming audio part of the forum, not finding a room always turns out to be a networking issue.
you tried rebooting your router and I assume you also rebooted your NDS and any switches you have in the network?

If autodiscovery isn't working for you then as a first port of call I would set up the device manually in the app using the attached instructions...
Then let me know whether that works for you.

Thanks Phil. I will try this later on and report back.
Yes, adding the device manually has worked. Thanks.
Still a mystery why auto discovery did not work.
You may need to ensure that your streamer doesn't change its IP address, by fixing it in the router.

updated my Samsung tab, and ive had the same problems can find ndx /muso , when it does the index can only be seen as a list down the page ,restricted size of album art, cant get a full view in thumbnails of alphabet/albums . how I wish for a sonos like app. BUBBLEUPNP works perfect.

Hi,
What happens if you add the device to your app manually using the instructions I attached above?
We have to follow OS updates and programming guidelines so quite often underlying calls and protocols that are used for things such as autodiscovery can change over time - they should all be transparent and continue to work correctly however sometimes a change will result in a bit of kit on a customers network no longer doing what it should.
BubbleUPnP is quite a different application to the Naim app - we don't release software that is inherently broken and do extensive testing to try to ensure that software does work as it should but there will always be some issues out there in the real world and we will try to work them through with anyone with problems.
