Naim iOS App, text size
Posted by: Claude-Alain on 16 March 2017
I like the Naim app, but the font size is definitely too small for me (with my 47 years old eyes).
Even on iPad, the text is hard to read.
It would be great to have the choice between 2 or 3 text sizes !
I am not sure, but are you not able to set the font size in the general iOS settings? But I do not know if this affects the naim app font size as well.
Font sizes are able to change in iOS > Settings > Display and Brightness > Text Size. But it's only in the iOS functions, it is not applied to apps.
Thanks for your answers. I confirm: The iOS text size settings are not affecting the text size in the Naim app.
You are right, even if you change the size of the artwork, the text stays small, with big empty spaces in between. I could never figure out why the app was made like this.
Naim's app doesnt follow the IOS rulebook for accessibility. I have complained, but so far...
I asked for an option to increase the text size about a year ago on the suggestions thread (I think). It's utterly stupid. I have an iPad Pro, big screen and there's this tiny lettering, lower case being about 2mm in height. It's bonkers. When a song comes on Radio Paradise that I like I have to go up to within about 12 inches from the iPad to read the damn text.
It's the 21st century, people, As a company you don't just say, here take it or leave it. You listen and adapt, improving your customers experience along the way. Or at least say why something can't be done.
Given the demographic/hair colour of the average Naim user, it's a bit odd that you don't get extra large text by default.
