Living in Ireland, and listen to RTE Gold, that constantly plays the old classics.

Posted on: 18 March 2017 by Mike-B

Good prompt CBR,  having lived & worked in Ireland for numbers of years,  must go find RTE Gold again.

My go-to iRadio presets are Radio Paradise, Naim Radio, Linn Jazz, Martini in the Morning,  BBC R2 & R3, & a news station from South Africa (2nd home)     If its past midnight I often surf caribbean stations for some local reggae,  problem is they are all low bitrate

Mike,  Roots fm uk has some good reggae shows at night although not the best SQ it's better than most of the carribean iRadio stations.

http://95bfm.com/  New Zealand. A great station with wonderful variety, but at 32kbs, saxophone is sounding a bit synthetic! 272 and Qutes making the most of a poor signal, as always. It was available at a higher bitrate, couldn't get it to work.

Thanks

Radio Paradise (again)

Posted on: 22 March 2017 by TOBYJUG

Arctic Dub Sursumcorda.

MP3 128kbps.

Sometimes broadcasts exclusive, not yet released recordings of ELECTRONICA  genre.

Most recently a live recording of Sly and Robbie with Nils Petter Molvaer. Which was and has quality.

for me a true source from the source.   New York

Would love to find other stations of similar output quality from the other hot spots of the states

......and with the odd play of something from the Dub vaults.

Hi Max, sorry I've no idea how to "tune" into internet devices. I found 95bfm.com on my PC at first, and later by using the Naim App. Perhaps asking a question in the Streaming Audio section will find someone who can help help with this. I would have thought a phone would be good enough for 32kbs, however 95bfm sounds a lot better on my Naim streamers.

Best wishes.

Phil.

Just been across to The River and ordered it, the Hardback edition is reduced at the mo'.

Whilst there, spotted this ...........
