Interconnect choice

I am shortly to become the proud owner of a 552 which will connect with vinyl, and NDS. I have at present a Hi line into my existing 252 and I wonder if I should consider any other interconnect bearing in mind after this purchase I cannot afford a SL! My amps are 2x250 dr active.

Definitely lacks the robustness of the cable produced by the Shires!

when I purchased my Vertere HB ethernet cable the US dist mentioned Vertere offered better cables than SuperLumina but don't recall if he confirmed they supply Naim

As far as I'm aware SL and Vertere are sourced from the same factory but different configurations.

Such comment are usually spoken in the context if he stocks them or not

I guess Naim and Vertere are dead silent if any, about raw sourcing

Thank you all for a very interesting and humourous thread! I think I will stick with the existing Hi Line and see what transpires.

Good idea. Forget about cables for now and enjoy your 552.

I'd not bother with and cable upgrade as the next step right now and stay with the 552 run-in and enjoy before considering anything else. Looking at the OP system the next thing to consider at a later date, given he has an Active system, is a Supercap for the Snaxo - which is a huge upgrade over the HiCap. When the restless upgrade itch needs to be scratched, that is where to look next - at least get a a demo of what that does, as the separate PS rails that the Supercap offers to the Snaxo give a far greater detail and resolution - and the larger transformer gives more good bass weight.

But the 552 is the big upgrade for this system - and it is already made.
