I have just sat through the recording of Friday nights Comic Relief.
After putting most of it on fast forward, I am Very pleased, I didn't watch it live.
Apart from a couple of brief sketches, I thought it was unfunny, cringeworthy, embarrassing, possibly one of the most unpleasant comic relief programmes I've ever seen.....
In the past its always been generally entertaining, but whoever put this programme together, needs sacking ....
How they have managed to raise over 70 million is very impressive......I can only assume it must have been from efforts, not taking place on the night...
I would have gladly donated £20, if their was a promise of bringing the programme to an end.
The only saving grace was the highlights of comic relief moments from previous years...

I watched about 1 hour while out visiting (people wanted to watch the Love Actually skit) It has lost the plot (sorry to say) , presenters Lenny Henry & Jonathan Woss were wooden & it was all far away from a slick well run show that I remember from the past. The acts I saw were at best amateurish & one in particular was downright cringeworthy. A bit sad really as it is a good cause.

Don't think I have watched any of them ever. Apart from the clip with Billy Connelly running around Trafalgar Square with nothing on and his little winky shrivelled from the cold. BBC means something else in other genres, but definitely not here.

They did show a pre-recorded film from Billy Connelly, and a clip of the running naked in Trafalgar Square , apparently at the time, that particular stunt raised a million pounds.
Sadly he's not a well man anymore, cancer and parkinsons have taken their toll.
It was the clips from previous years that were the only highlight.

I'm sure I remember reading a little while back that production for the evening was being taken on by the presenters/comics themselves. Which would explain a lot.
We only caught a bit around midnight but what we did see was pretty desperate stuff.

That's well described, pretty desperate stuff......ive just read they have had about 150 complaints, mainly with reference to Russell Brand

What about? Is it because he's a d*ck?
Yes, because he's a d*ck.......the level of humour was extremely low....
So Russell Brand, not just a d*ck but an inferior d*ck at that.
I believe the motion would pass unopposed.
