Nac282/ headline

first of 2 questions 1st since I now have my nac282 supercapped can I use the aux2 for my headline?

No. That would create an earth loop an impair overall system performance.  The Headline requires a dedicated power supply and a NAPSC works just great here, so don't spoil the ship etc..

You clearly need another Supercap 

NAPSC on my Headline does a fine job.

Hi Richard, so using HCDR doesn't create an earth loop with headline?

Why does Supercap create an earth loop?

[@mention:69004037368204356] - The SuperCap does not create an Earth Loop. Its plugging a Headline into Aux2 that does that. The Headline needs a separate Power Supply - like say a NAPSC, or a HiCap.

It doesn't .. it's when you plug a  napsc into aux2 of the nac282 it creates an earthing loop

OK i'm confused. I think you can plug stageline into Aux 2, but not headline.

You can power a Stageline from aux 2, but not a headline. As has been said before, the headline needs its own power supply. Simple.

Sigh....   The Aux2 powered output on the 'big' Naim Pre Amps is deigned & intended to power either a StageLine or a PreFix, I believe.

If you managed that, I think you'd create a bit more than an earth loop! I was thinking an exploding sausage might be in order, but it would be bad form for me to use it twice in the same day!
