Separate mains supply

Has anyone any feedback regarding what difference it made to the over all sound... if you give your point of veiw hat would be great..

H, try a quick search - there are loads and loads of threads, some past, some current that will provide you with opinions.  

Just remember though, whatever you do, make sure you use an experienced and qualified electrician who is fully conversant with current electrical code for wherever you live.

I used an electrician who grew up in a HAM radio family and had been raised in a house trailer.  He knew what I needed and put in a dedicated circuit for the front end and also for the power amp.  His childhood home had had a similar setup. Each circuit had a separate ground grid of three 8' rods driven into the ground and soldered together.  This electrician's other client is the nearby hospital which uses several such ground grids.   He also set up a shunt which takes my whole house to this ground in the event of a lightning strike or a power surge.   This approach may not work with Naim's star ground approach but it eliminated the RFI of my tube rig, which used RCA interconnects,  and cleaned up the sound of noise and grunge.
