CDX transit screw

I need to install this screw prior to shipment.  I can buy one online but how is it fitted anyone?

Thanks

Can you download a manual to see how its fitted ?

It screws in underneath - it's located under the tray area.  The manual will show you whereabouts exactly, or just look underneath the platter and the location becomes obvious.

Ted, Don't turn it upside down to find the threaded hole.

I already have turned it upside down but thankfully it still works.  Another thing, the remote no longer works despite new batteries.  Looking on eBay, a remote control seems to cost > £100!  This cant be right can it?

Have you pressed the CD soft key on the remote control?

ah, it's now working on all functions expect the volume control!!  Balance control on the amp is ok, just the little green vol up and down

Any ideas?

Ted, what is the amp?  Check that the volume knob isn't pushed up against the fascia preventing it from turning.

it's an NAC 92.  knob seems ok when turning by hand and doesnt look depressed or damaged in anyway.  It's pretty old gear tbh, recall I bought the lot back around 2005.  Love it to bits with the B&W speakers but have digitised all CDs and it's all hooked up to the PC nowadays!

I assume that's a NAC92R rather than NAC92...

yes that's correct

I've lost my screw. Is it just so the door does not open during travel or for other reasons?
