Just upgraded to a SN2, from a Nait 5si, and it seems i am on the upgrade path, how ever, I've been down this road before with Naim kit, and i am determined to keep things simple this time round, so my next up grade is a cd, my present cd is a 5si, and can't live the SN, so my short list is somewhat small, being there is only 2 players to consider, the 5xs, and x2, your ideas are welcome, a TT will be added some time later, your ideas on this will also be welcome. here we go... again.

My search for a Cdx2, iam a little confused, a little help needed- I recently found somone selling a cdx2, so I rang Naim for a varification on the serial No, I was told it was a 2011 model, mk11, 1 owner, the seller says he purchased it in 2015, any suggestions?. Regards.

Can the seller send you a photo of the receipt. Was it purchased ex demo from a dealer ?

I suspect that he didn't buy it new in 2015, so most likely ex-demo or he bought it second hand in 2015 from someone who bought it new in 2011 and the guy selling it never registered his purchase in 2015 with Naim, so they don't know about it.

£2K is a bit high in my opinion for something that doesn't have any warranty.

I sent a friend's CDX2 back to Naim a year or two back and the dealer (not the supplying dealer) charged me £65 for the carriage and lent a box for the transit as my friend didn't have the original box. The repair was about £200, but the parts were a trivial part of that.  The fault had "helpfully" vanished in transit back to Naim, but anyway it has worked properly ever since.

best

I don't intend having my pants pulled down, the seller should have included a full discription of the history. Think I will give it a miss, and continue my search hopefully for an ex demo from a dealer, or possibly a cd5xs/ FC xs we shall see. Cheers Dave.
