RCA DIN Hugo XS2

Posted by: ThatsNotMyNaim on 04 April 2017

Hello,

Is RCA cable to DIN cable suitable from Hugo RCA to XS2 DIN connectors?

Also, would I be better with a second hand Chord Sig Tuned Array RCA RCA. Or a new Chord Chorus RCA DIN? Both around £500.

I may upgrade to SN2 soon.

Thanks

Adam

On my own Hugo, when using it in one of the systems, I use a Naim Hi-Line RCA-DIN which seems to complement it very well.

The equivalent DIN cable will be the better sounding one. However, a better RCA-RCA will beat a lesser RCA-DIN, in my experience anyway. I used a Chord Chorus RCA-DIN but found a (cheaper) TQ Black RCA-RCA to be an improvement. Now using a TQ Ultra Black RCA-RCA, so I wouldn't rule out trying TQ cables either if you haven't already. Haven't tried the Hi-line personally but its well regarded by most.

I used a SIg TA RCA>DIN between my Hugo and 552 for a while (upgraded to Sarum SA). Sounded great and will easily survive if you upgrade.
