Dear all,
I got a Supernait. And I got an old B&O turntable 4002 (1975).
I want to make sure I do this right and hook up an old B&O player with my SN.
They are both Din standard but I believe I need a phono preamp to make this work?
I dont want to spent too much money on the preamp - so, I go none Naim.
I will need to use AUX 2 as port on SN? Convert B&O Din to 'Phono plug' cable -> Phono pre amp -> convert to Din cable to SN/AUX 2? Did I miss anything?
What kind of result can I get out of this set up?
Thanks for a great forum
thomas

Thank you Hungryhalibut,
is there a best way to put an old B&O turntable on supernait?
I have not listened to vinyl for 25 years and like the looks of the old 4002.
And recently found same model as I owned long time back.
Best thomas

Morning Thomas,
Convert the DIN output of the B&O to RCA phonos. A Naim Stageline would give you an elegant solution for the phono stage as it is powered from Aux2 on your amp. Other phonostages are available. Some are cheaper and will get you going, such as Pro-ject, NAD and Rega. They have decent sound in their own right. You will require another mains plug for them and another interconnect.
I would get a new cartridge for the 'old' 4002.

Christopher_M has the best solution - convert the signal cable plug from the B&O turntable to phono plugs and get a used Naim Stageline N magnetic phono cartridge pre-preamp. This will plug directly into the Aux2 socket on the SN - an elegant solution.
The B&O turntable takes a special cartridge no longer made but you can get your old one rebuilt.
