Or should that read 250 250 300 DBL?
OK you all know that this one is about wonky active, and I've had the 300 on the tweeters for a few years now and it all sounds great, (250's and Supercaps are DR - 552 555 and 300 are non DR, will DR eventually).
I know you will all say try it for yourself, but with all the stuffing around that active and cable dressing brings, has anyone tried putting the better amp on the big ATC 15 incher of the DBL.s instead of that little scanspeak soft dome?
Surely the extra power and control of the 300 would help move things along. Back in the days when I was passive with SL2's, the most staggering effect the 300 brought to things over a standard 250.2 was in the bass, it just sounded firmer lower and more real, surely it would do the same with DBL's, any ideas fellow DBL owners (all 148 of them?)
Thanks,
mario.

Mario, old mate, you already know the answer. Pick up the phone, punch in the speed dial for good ol' H and order two more 300s. Job's right.

Hi Bazz, good ol' H has really helped me get to audio heaven, but 250 DR's are really amazing and will have to do. Want to DR the 300 if the improvement is of the same magnitude as the 250's - astonishing!
I'll just stick to what Tony has said (thanks Tony) as I expected it to be the case, I follow the naim road with hardly any diversion. Just was logically thinking things out and putting the best amp I've ever owned on a pair of $200 tweeters sounds nuts when you really think about it!
nice to hear from you Bazz, hope those lovely SBLs are sounding as good as ever.
Tony, thanks again for saving me another crawl around the floor, I don't jump in and experiment as often as I used too, 15 fraim shelfs are a real deterant to tweaking, I no longer have the patience nor the strong back!
Mario.
