NAIM app does not show local WiFi when installing Muso

Posted by: SilverVirtual on 07 May 2017

Hello

When installing my MUSO I get to the point in my APP that says "Choose the network you want mu-so to connect to"  However there are none shown.

What's the story?

Maybe the Muso is too far from the router to pick up the wifi.

You could try temporarily giving it a wired connection to your router to get it set up. Then move it to its permanent location and try it over WiFi. (Better still, make the wired connection permanently if you can.)

Is your WiFi 5ghz only or do you have 2ghz as well? FRom memory  the MuSo only runs on the 2Ghz.

Also make sure your network is not 'hidden'

The Muso is indeed 2.4GHz only, although my understanding is that devices that operate on 5GHz are dual band, so would run both, and be able to see 2.4 devices too. Unless, of course, the user has configured them for 5GHz only.

I had the same problem when initiating the setup from my Note4 Android, no network showed up. I used my PC instead and then it worked.
