Chord Sarum T

Anyone heard any of the latest versions of the Sarum cables?  Upgrading all my cables except speaker cables to Sarum Super Aray wasn't particularly sexy or cheap but the results were superb.

From Chords latest price list....

Sarum T mains cable  £1,900

Sarum T speaker cable per metre  £600

Music mains cable  £5,000

Music speaker cable per metre  £1,100

Folkman,

I rechecked on Chord's website just to make sure I did not get it wrong. All are speaker cables.

Epic £50/m

Epic Reference £450/m

Signature Reference £675/m

Sarum T £1,800/m

Music £3,300/m

Not sure which information is correct though.

I think Chords website prices are for 1.5m pairs , checkout the full pricelist on Cymbiosis web site.

Just checked on the prices of Chord's speaker cables. A 4m pair of Sarum T speaker cable would cost £14,400 and the Music is almost double that. The prices seem to increase exponentially from the Chord Epic onwards (a mere £50/m). The Signature Reference is £675/m while the Sarum T is £1,800/m.

The Sarum T is undeniably tempting but too rich for my blood..

Eh? 5 metres stereo pair is £6,000. Still not spare change but where did you get £14,400 from?

£1,800 x 8 for a 4 metre stereo pair = £14,400

Check Audio T website, priced per stereo metre.

A 4mt stereo pair will cost £4,800.00 RRP for Sarum T Speaker Cable ( two cables 4 mts long one for each speaker).

I purchased a 5 Mt pair RRP £6,000.00 ( two cables each 5 mts ) for Sarum T.

Sarum T is £600.00 RRP per mt per single cable length.

Hope that clears up the issue

The Chord site is misleading. Epic Twin is indeed £50 per metre, but their other prices are for 3 linear metres - Epic Reference is £150 per metre (not £450), Signature Reference is £225 (not £675), etc..

I have recently purchased 2 x 5.5 metre lengths of Epic Reference, and believe me I did not pay £4,950!!

Sarum SA

Did you find it enhanced the Dave, or that it made no difference?

I went from Signature TA to the Sarum SA and the difference was startling. I'd say it brought the best out of the Dave, but my guess (based on the recent T addition) that T or Music would reveal more.

A chord thread smitten with the dangerous Chord virus, now called Dave. I had hoped to read more about Sarum T.

a cable cannot improve on a source, only do the least damage.
