cd system enhancement
Posted by: Aceone on 14 May 2017
Hi to everyone ,can anyone tell me if the tellurium cd enhancement really works to improve your sound quality on your hifi I've read that it does I was thinking of buying the cd or download .
I feel it does something. I occasionally run it through my system and afterward I'd say it sounds little better. I couldn't tell you why though.
Thanks for your answer finkfan
I have never tried the Tellurium disc but I do have a Densen De Magic that when I do run it through my system I wonder why I don't do it more often but then forget to. I also use a Marigo Ultimate Signature cd mat and that really does fantastic things and when ever I dem' it to friends they are amazed, that I use all the time. I will soon removing my cd player in favour of a streamer so now won't try one out but for such a small outlay it has to worth a go if cd's re still important to you.
I shall rip a copy and stream it through my system every now and again if the 272 stays.
There was a thread on this a little while ago but sorry I can't find it!
I can recommend the L'Art Du Son CD and DVD cleaning fluid. A spray that you put on then wipe around with your finger on both sides of the disc before going over with kitchen paper.
I would do this every now and again when I played CDs, and I do it now before I rip on the Unitiserve.
cleans up old discs and new discs that can sometimes have a residue of the manufacturing left over.
differances between those that have had the spray job to those that haven't depends on the original quality of the disc. More so with lesser productions - splashy eq and a wavering solidity come across as more realistic and grounded. Those discs that are great to start with just seem a little more real.
Even better to use this on one of those CD System Enhancement discs.
I have the TQ system enhancement disc, and it works extremely well.
I usually, just put on track 3, before a serious listening session.....in my view it's superb
If I download it do I get it cd format then send it to my melco all my music is in flac .
Might playing a couple of tracks of music, to warm up the speakers, do the same thing, at no cost? I've never tried this Tellurium thing and it might be great, but it sounds distinctly like a money making wheeze. Has anyone tried the disc against just playing some music?
The bumf with these things usually mention that just playing music gets you to 70 %. Playing a system enhancement track has more extreme dynamics and frequency noise that just doesn't come from a typical recording. Same with those burning in devices that's supposed to bring about new cables to perform as they should by conditioning them from running through high noise in all frequencies.
Interesting. For £20 I'd say it's worth a go.

May be you are talking about this one:
Isotek Full System Enhancer CD
Isn't it just as good to play music surely. I believe in a lot of upgrades. Mains ethernet cables power supplies interconnects.........but a disc that givessel a yoga session to ur hifi.....this is fat too late for April fools. Bur thanks I'm having a reallu good chuckle
I use the TQ disc regularly both for my CD player and steeamers - it seems to open up the system really nicely.

i think this is the strategy of many hifi companies offering some sort of gadget to improve performance 0-500£ range....
after spending 1000s on a setup, we always say "worth a go" for any promise of improvement for a relatively small amount, you never know..... l

I know because I have a logic-based system of reasoning and along with it no desire to piss money down a drain.
The tellurium disc offers a great case for REW software to measure the before and after and test results to determine a significant difference, but since no one has done that (not even the manufacturer) it's pure snake oil.
I blagged a CD to rip .......... Very happy with it, that is happy I didn't pay for it.
I prefer to start the working week with listening to Handels Water Music. If this does not clean and open up the sound sufficiently, I might try Handels Music for the Royal Fireworks.
My car always seems to run better after I give it a good washing.

Joe - have you actually tried the TQ disc yourself, since you express such strong views here?
The thing is that to prove or reject the benefits of the disk one needs to buy such a disk which is another thing poisoning the living environment.
It reminds me of these 'Baby Bach' disks one can buy. When my eldest was born, I got a couple of them as presents (and were thrown away sooner as the visitors left my house). The marketing behind these special disks is that the feeling is that it will make your unborn baby more 'musical'. This can never be proved since that people who get these disks in free will or as a gift, have musical interests beforehand either themselves, or people in the environment.
I feel that the same applies for these TQ disks. Shutting down your system, starting it up putting on some various music would probably have the same result. Or hooking in on Joes suggesting: getting relieved feelings by going to the toilet works probably better.

Unknown is best feared and dismissed. Progress shall not obstruct our set ways....
If your system is on 24/7 like mine is, switching it off & on every few weeks clearly improves the sound too. Just a power off for 10 sec. is enough. Dunno why or how but it works. Maybe it has something to do with static/standing charges in components & cables that change or disappear with a power down & up?

My system is always on and this is precisely what I do every couple of weeks. It helps.
I have used the TQ enhancement disc.
As with all things TQ, it works extremely well.
I have not tried other manufacturers but It does seem somewhat odd though to have strong views on the subject but actually never tried one?
