Interconnect cables

When I purchase a TT, and phono stage, and for arguments sake lets say a Stageline, they will be sited approx 3m from the Amp(SN2) on a separate self, my question is, which cable will be best suited runing from phono stage to Amp, 3m length. Regards

The Stageline needs a power supply to work. This can be a Hi- or Flatcap or the powered Aux2 output on your SN. If you want to use your SN, you need a SNAIC (power and signal cable in a single jacket from Naim), but those are shorter than 3m. Quite likely because the Stageline won't be able to drive such a long cable with a highish capacitance. With say a Hicap you would run the SNAIC fron the Stageline to the Hicap and an interconnect from the Hicap to the SN. That interconnect has to be a DIN to DIN or DIN to RCA, the ones from AudioQuests so called Bridges and Falls series should work, but 3m is not really a length you want. A Hi- or Flatcap may help, as you can "add" the lengths of SNAIC and interconnect, assuming you can place the Cap between turntable and amp.

Thanks MULBERRY, no, i hadn't factored in the power supply, i had my doubts about a long cable, but after your suggestions i thing i will work towards getting the TT closer to the amp & psu allowing for the standard SNAIC cables to be used. Regards.

Just a wee thought. Have a look at the combined length of the Stageline power/signal cable and the TT cable. If it can rest in the middle you may still have an option to site it away that works.
