How fast work in the united kingdom ?

My new fiber connection allows me to go around 60 Mbps,  a great step compared to the 12 mbps of my old adsl.

And you?

1.9mbps download on a good day. Dial up speeds on a bad day. Frequent drop-outs.
Upload speed around 0.2mbps.
Currently there are no plans for BT to provide fibre.
Local council currently have put out the job to tender to see who might provide us with fibre.
This also happened a couple of years ago and they started building infrastructure, then pulled out of the contract late last year..
I fear it will be another few years before we "might" get fibre.
Rural North West Oxfordshire.. TERRIBLE.

Who and what do you have there Kevin? With AT&T Uverse I am getting about 15 Mb/s down and 1.4 Mb/s up.

(Apologies to all the Brits for injecting US data into the thread.)
