Ns01 has started to be unavailabel in the morning

Or when I come back to it after I have been away for some time, usually when I want to play muisc the next day.

Am I the only one who has started to get t this problem in the last week.

Something strange has begun to happen, when I come back to listen to my ns01, after having been away over the night. Before this has not been a problem. The  server is still on the network. But the last 2 days has been different. DTC cannot connect to the server. It can see the server, but when I try to connect I get the folowing error:
Failed to connect to the hard disk player located at
192.168.87.109:
N-serve cannot play contents from the server. If I look at the http page, there is also an error.
If I ping the a ip address there is no problem, all 4 packages are received.
So the server is on the network, but is not available.
A restart of the server solves the problem, but something is not working as expected.
The dtc is run on a Windows10 64 bit machine Creators update (build 1703. updated with the latest updates from MS.

Had something similar on the HDX and it end up needing a new hard disk.  Make sure your backups are up to date!

At least with the NS01 it backs up itself to a second HDD within the unit. Of course, it might be worth running a forced update anyway, Claus.

Touch wood, I've not had this problem with my NS01.

Are you playing music over a network or locally on your Hi-Fi system?  If the former, is your router giving the HDX a new IP address (remember the HDX has 2 IP addresses) but the rest of the system (eg DTC) doesn't know about the new IP address?

You tell the DTC in the start up screen where to look, so if the DTC can't find the server I suggest closing the DTC, then restarting it and making it search for servers instead of assuming it was the one previously used.

The problem is that the server seems to have gone offline, but it is still available on the ip address it was assigned the day before. And I can get in contact with the flash interface, but it reports service not available. After a router restart the server is assigned the same ip address.

Hopefully it is not the disk, it is only 5 months old, but you never know with hard disks.

The router may have restarted itself during the period I have no good way to see this status. Fortunately it has not happende since last saturday, but I will be away over the weekend so it will be interesting to see if it happens again.
