NAP 135 ON/OFF Push button

Posted by: Super on 28 May 2017

Can anyone tell me if there is a replacement push button for this generation (olive) of amp. I've got six 135's and 2 of them is particularly bad, in fact one of them is stuck in the "on" position and the only way to turn it off is to pull the plug. I knew it was a bad push button and naim knew about them, but did they ever have a better replacement for that model ?

The large web company that avoids UK tax has several 13 am mains plugs with built in on off switches... about 4 quid each. Sounds safer than pulling leads out of things and far cheaper than replacement switches and labour

A switched mains plug doesn't sound a good idea at all. I'd speak to Darran at Class A in Sheffield, and get them fixed properly.

The original 135/250 power switch was - I believe - a bought in part. The part I am thinking of does appear to still exist (checking on a certain electrical parts website).

Forum rules prevent me saying more - ask Darran @Class A.

of course the proper switch is ideal - my suggestion was an alternative to the present situation of pulling plugs out!

getting several done could be pricey
