Premier League Opening Day - Dull or what?

Posted by: Guido Fawkes on 14 August 2011

What an uninspiring openning to the Premier League circus - Seb Larsson's goal apart, there was nothing on match of the day worth watching (the programme is as dull as the awful Football League show). Arson Wegner gets my quote of day when said "I don't understand the Red Card". How long has he been football manager? And he still doesn't know what a Red Card means? ... simples Arson, your player was being sent off for diving and then clobbering that pillar of the community: Joey Barton ...

I'm glad my team has decided it wants to stay in the Championship and not go in to the Premier League again - well at least that's the impression I got for the lacklustre (rubbish) performance against the Tigers - Paul Jewell is a wonderful guy, but Lee Bowyer, Tractor Boy is almost as strange as Bob Wilson, Anchor Man.

Delia seemed pleased though.

Yes she did - and why not - cries of "Let's Be 'Aving You" from around her and a point away at Wigan (one of the better games) - I think they'll be OK - could be a few years before we welcome Delia and her boys back to Portman Road.

Other than an alphabetic nothingeyness and that Bolton scored more goals, Wolves are top of the table, so I have to disagree.

It was a fantastic start to the season.

I think this will be me this year.

It was bad enough last year going down again.

But if we cant finish a ball in the box?
