Simon,

That did my eyes in.

I would call that Metal, almost thrash metal not punk.

Fit birds though.

Great snare and bass guitar tone, even out of a pair of MacBook speakers!

Two thoughts.

Why 48 and not 96 khz?  I thought that was the standard for high resolution.  B&W do this also.

Secondly, its not quite the sort of material that lends itself to HD anyway, although its not that crunched judging from the macbooks speakers.

I sort of don't mind this at one level, its a little Foo Fighter-ish but I don't feel quite the same connection.  It also reminds me of a full tilt Arctic Monkeys, but that might just be a UK vibe.

Could be a grower.  I like a bit more "soft loud" with my thrashing guitar music however.

I know they are a bit derivative but in this space (genre) I like bands like Brisbane's own Violent Soho.

I think this stuff deserves a revisit in a few days to see if it has "grower" potential.

We offer 48kHz, because it was recorded in 24bit / 48kHz, still higher than most multi-tracked rock recordings.

You are correct, the DSP involved in making a record with the right production aesthetic, does not lend itself well to HD in comparison to acoustic music, but it is there for those who are interested in something a little bit different.

Thanks for the support!

I like it and Its nice to have some well recorded rock. You just need to look at something like the original Rage Against The Machine album to see that it can be done well. Look at any of the recent Chilli Peppers to see the opposite!
