Nait 5 + Flatcap connection guide

I cannot find anywhere instructions on how to use the Flatcap to power the Nait5 pre?

I have 2 Snaic's, 4 -4 pin and 5-5 pin, i have been under the impression that this is possible.

Flatcap has 4 connection points:

1-3  connection points have 4 pin sockets

4 connection point is a 5 pin

please can someone help?

Peter,

carefully remove the link plugs from the rear of the NAIT 5 and store in the box or a safe place so they don't get lost.

The SNAIC 5 connects between SIGNAL OUT A on the NAIT 5 and POWER OUT A on the Flatcap2 - make sure the banded end is closest to the NAIT 5.

The SNAIC 4 connects between SIGNAL OUT A on the Flatcap2 and INPUT on the NAIT 5 - banded end closest to the Flatcap2.

Presumably you don't have the manual? You can download old product manuals from various online sources, for example, Flashback Sales have the Nait 5 one, and in it, you'll find the description and diagram that you need.

i have the manual for both the Flatcap (not the Flatcap2) and the Nait5, in the manual for the Nait5 it has instructions only for the Flatcap 2, not the Flatcap

OK, well the Flatcap is just like the Flatcap 2 except it doesn't have the Flatcap2's second power OUT.  You connect in exactly the same way.  Socket 4 (DIN5) connected to SIGNAL OUT A on the NAIT.  And Socket 3 (DIN4) to INPUT on the NAIT.

Thanks. There will always be some bloke who suggests this but could you find a FC2 instead? That way you could power the CD5 too.
