Youn Sun Nah

I've been listening to Youn Sun Nah's new album 'She Moves On' downloaded in 24/96. It is just so beautiful, her take on the lesser known Jimi Hendrix track Driftin' is just sublime with great guitar playing from Marc Ribot. There are some really inspired cover choices including Lou Reed's Teach The Gifted Children, Joni Mitchel's Dawntreader and Paul Simon's She Moves On.

I see that her back catalogue is on special offer at Qobuz and this album topped their download chart for a while, it's still sitting one place above Sgt Pepper's ('poppickers'!). If you're unfamiliar with her work then give the track Driftin' a listen - in 24/96 the production is stunning.

Absolutely, excellent choice. I have her album Same Girl in my favourites list. She has a stunning voice, with such musicality and control. The song Carnival is one of my 'go to' tracks if I'm listening to my system after I've made a change. Also just because I love the song. Such an excellent recording as well; clear, dynamic, close-miked... amazing.
