Connecting Nap 250 to nac 272

Posted by: Sharon Kabir on 13 June 2017

Hi

I'm going to purchase NAP250DR+NAC272. Is the cable connecting them included in the package or should I purchase a cable separately?

If so . So what cable I need?

THANKS

SHARON

Morning Sharon. The din to xlr cable is included with the 250DR. The xlr end will go into the 250 and the din end wil go to one of the analogue out sockets on the 272, I use the one on the right as you look at the back of the 272.

PDF manual on NAIM's website is your friend.

The cable is always included with the power amp, as different ones use different cables and this ensures that you get the right one. With new gear you don't need to worry about it, but if buying used, you should check that the seller will provide them.

The std din to xlr is pretty good........... I tried Super Lum version ... it made a difference but not enough.... the Which-hat is good if you need one.

I have a witch hat 4x din to xlr. Swapped back to the standard naim cable this evening and which sounds much better between bare 272 and 250DR. 4x sounded better between SN/HCDR and 250DR. Will re assess the 4x once an XPSDR is in situ.
