Power Lead

I've moved my Superuniti from a glass shelf by the side of my speakers to a sideboard between the speakers and had to use a cheap socket extension lead to plug the standard power lead into, I was concerned about using the extension lead as I've heard many a discussion on the importance of a decent power supply.

I've had a good listen and the sound has definitely improved, more detail, deeper bass and greater depth. I'm gobsmacked as I thought the sound may have gotten worse as I have committed two cardinal sins!

This hifi thing is certainly confusing.

I too have found that running the boxes from a trailing socket changes the sound, but for me it's in a negative way. I agree that there appears to be more detail and possibly a slightly bigger soundstage but in my system this comes with a loss of the low end grunt you get from a wall socket on the end of a 10mm dedicated supply. But this will be system and room dependant.
