Naim in Seoul?

Posted by: Timo on 04 July 2017

I'll spend the summer in Seoul; and whilst there, I will probably explore some "Naim options" with a good friend. When he visited us in the UK, he was rather intrigued when he listened to my modest Naim system...

I wondered whether we had Seoul-based Forum members, who could suggest a couple of good Naim dealers where one could audition a decent range of kit. I hope there are a few good dealers in a mega-city with 25 million inhabitants...

Cheers!

There is a 4-5 storey electronics superstore in Seoul with a remarkable selection of both Hifi and used vinyl on the 3rd floor, if I remember correctly. It is not one company or dealer. It is one floor which hosts about 20 individual shops. Each shop is a treasure trove of serious hifi such as Naim, Linn, Rega, Thorens, Bose, B&W, Proac, Harbeth, SME, Wilson, Sonus Faber,     DCS, McIntosh, Chord, etc.

If I find the name & address, I'll post it here for you.

Hi Timo, look up the Yongsan Electronics Market in your favourite search engine and you will find it.

Thanks Foot Tapper -- I remember Yongsan Market. I will check out whether anybody there does Naim. If not, it will nonetheless be a fun afternoon.

I have enjoyed a couple of eye wateringly high-end naim systems at the homes of clients in Seoul, but unfortunately I cannot extend an invitation to you :-(
