When are we going to get the next release of the Android app?

I'm getting pretty tired of it trying (and failing) to restore the existing network connections (it uses at least two) when the tablet wakes from sleep.

It shows all the symptoms of trying to do this the wrong way, of trying to restore a broken connection rather than just dropping it and opening a new network connection.  Eventually, after 15 seconds or so it usually gets itself into an invalid state (it appears to have inconsistent network connection states that it can't actually use - either failing to find the Media Server or failing to be able to read the volume position of the 272, or both) and the only way to get it to reinitialise is to restart the app by swiping it off the screen or occasionally by taking more dramatic action (i.e. using "Force Stop" or uninstall).

The same problem occurs irrespective of the "Stay connected" setting.

(Even in the 90's it was realised that trying to restore broken network connections is a bad idea - and nothing's changed... the technology has got faster, but it's still the same technology.)

Hi Streamz,

The bugs logged should be fixed in the next release and the next release is to include Atom support and be timed to coincide with Atoms being available so should be within the next two or three weeks...

This was posted June 27th. So somewhere next week? Let's see. Seeing the comments on the iOS release I'm not confident that it will be a good release. Hopefully I can use Tidal again. Previous release was March, so I've wasted 80 euro on useless subscription already.

Yeah, that's the one I referred to. Viewing the comments, not without issues.
