Meet the new Doctor...

Actually I quite like Jodie Whittaker and it will be interesting to see how things go.

Mind, anyone would be preferable to Peter Capaldi who, IMO, has not been great in the role.

For me, the last two series with Matt Smith were poor, so I won't blame Capaldi for it deteriorating.

The writers are the prime culprits for the recent deterioration, not the actors - the latter had to try and present ridiculous storylines - and I have lost interest in wishing to continue watching (just as the recent Sherlock productions).

As for a female doctor, I have no problem whatsoever with a female timelord, but a doctor changing sex when regenerating seems rather odd, and completely breaks the continuity (not that there really has been much continuity).

If the Doctor can't cope with the end of the world at least once every incarnation, then they don't deserve the opportunity...
