Nordost QKore

Nordost has a new box that works with their power strip to "ground" the strip.  It is about the size and density of 3-4 bricks tightly packed, in a nice looking non-openable aluminum box.  Banana out to a solid plug that links tightly with their their proprietary 8 way power strip.  I have enjoyed the power strip and the Valhalla 2 power cord.   They drive my Powerlines nicely.

What do you all think of the QKore?   I have one on loan  in my system now and I am undecided.

Very interested in your findings.   QKore seems complicated. A few are available. Seems trial and experience to find the right one is recommended.

i have one on home demo too, along with the Q Base 8...I have had it in place for about 3 weeks now.I did not hear any significant improvements when I installed it,my dealer has agreed to let me keep it for a while longer, until after my new speakers arrive (Dyn special 40's).I plan to pull it out of the system, see if I am missing something, and make a call then.I will probably return it though,it is not cheap.I will say though,my noise floor is dead silent, but I think it was before too.

The Nordost blurb implies that these are unnecessary if one has dedicated mains and earth. £2,500 to £5,000 seems an awful lot to spend on mains jiggery pokery. Perhaps it's best to get the mains right, rather than plastering over any shortcomings with an expensive box.

In my case,I recently moved to an apartment,so only have one (two plug) wall outlet. My dealer offered to let me give it a try, since I need 8 outlets to cover all my gear,I will probably keep the Q Base, but am not sold on what exactly the QKORE is doing,it will be part of my upcoming demo of some new gear,a decision will be made on it in a few weeks time.

If possible I would see if I could get my hands on the Ansuz 8 way mains block. Unless you need to clean up electricity Ansuz and Naim has the same thinking when it comes to avoiding unnecessary filters, and passive regeneration of the power.
