At last I keep the XS

FYI:

5 months ago I opened this topic:

https://forums.naimaudio.com/to...-xs-from-rega-brio-r

I´ve been doubing and spending many hours listening both amplifiers.

One problem was with the source cable ( I mistaked with the model was the Atlas Integra non Hyper ), when i changed for an even cheaper Qed Performance the change to better was obvious.

Nowadays I only confirm what one post told me, the sound of rega is a little boiring and lazy when compares to the naim and I have found in the Naim most of the goods of the rega, so at last Naim stay and the Brio will be sell.

Im wating for a Naim cable RCA to DIN to make sure if using those connections sounds go better as I have read.

Best regards

I agree with your findings. The Brio-R has an initial fun factor that dulls with long-term listening. Much better command, balance, and musicality with the XS - well worth the cost difference. You made a good choice. Congrats and enjoy!

My mate had a Brio which struggles to drive the Allaes. It sounded muddy but voices for example sounded pretty fine.
