Naim App (Android) 2.1.1

OK, well it's a bit better, a suspend / resume cycle initiated by the OS sleeping seems to now be OK

However a suspend / resume cycle initiated by navigating away from the app (e.g. by a <back> operation on the main screen of the app - the one with the input selections on it) still causes the connection to the NAS drive and the status of the volume control to be lost until the app is closed and re-started.

Same problem occurs with
Pegatron Hudl2 - Android 5.1
Lenovo P2 - Android 6.1

As I have two android devices (so if one doesn't work I still have the other!) and I have experience of software development, I could get on the Android app Beta Programme.

Also, by doing a search, and then hitting the back button, the next screen is an unusable one.It shows album art only, without text. So unlessyou knowall album covers, you'll have a hard time choosing the correct album.

Can confirm similar volume bar misbehaviour here, on my Nexus 6p.

Streamz, it'd help to know more about what kind of search you're doing, and probably what server software you're using. When I search (usually by artist name), it seems to work as intended.

An irritation for me, for some reason, they've done away with the bitrate indication on the now playing screen again.

Previously this was removed in an update, to my chagrin, and then it reappeared. Now it's gone again. Don't understand why, or if it irritates someone on the dev team, why they don't make it optional.

Hi Dave,

I still get the bitrate status on my Lenovo P2 (Android 6.1) but not on my Pegatron Hudl2 (Android 5.1).

Hi Streamz,

If I try to reproduce this, then on the Lenovo P2 (Android 6.1) it works fine.

With the Pegatron Hudl2 (Android 5.1), going back one page after a search I get a blank screen, on going back a second page everything works fine again though.

So let me explain.

When I do a search, everything is fine, you get all information.

So you see the result, including name, album.

However, hitting the back button, all information is gone. The 3 dots will show a popup "favorites" and for some, a extensive list of to do options.

So these are all results, not just Tidal.
Choosing Tidal, the same layout appears.

BTW, the search has not been stored. So it's not listed at "recent searches."

This started as a Tidal search btw. Latest firmware, app version, on both a Asus tablet and Oneplus 3T phone. Both Android 7.
