iOS App version 5.7.4
Posted by: Yetizone on 13 August 2017
Just a quick ref - iOS App version 5.7.4 is now available on the App store. I've just downloaded to both iPad Mini2 and iPhone 5S. All stable so far, plus, I may be imagining it, but I'm pretty sure its faster than before?
I will check it out tomorrow when I'm back from short holidays in Poland. I hope it works even faster!
Be prepared to lose your existing rooms and have to faff around to find them again! That's all I'm saying although I am getting good at this app update malarkey.

I believe it is faster. Its also a smaller package (less MB) so that might be related.
Ah, I thought it was faster! As I updated both devices at the same time I couldn’t compare the two versions. A welcome improvement in speed, especially as I’m using near legacy (by Apple’s standards) iPhone 5S and iPad Mini2 as app control devices. I would expect 5.7.4 to be really snappy on an up to date iPhone or iPad Pro.
All stable so far with regard to finding rooms etc. Fingers crossed this remains so.
download it yesterday works well, and also through test flight
Unfortunately it crashes when selecting "Check for updates" (Mu-So "Settings") ..... otherwise, all seems okay
The Check for Updates feature is for new platform products only. Naim are aware of the legacy products issue but as yet no info on what they will do with it
Just checked. Likewise, crashes on both iPad & iPhone when choosing "Check for Updates". App was in use extensively yesterday and other than this outlined by MR Frog, all fine for regular playback.
Edit: Mike, that makes sense of the issue with the Qute / Muso glitch. I'm sure it will be resolved soon.
Thanks Mike ... it previously used to give the actual firmware version of the Mu-So and even installed updates .... so seems a little strange to simply now crash the app entirely
Thats software for you Mr Frog, with my NDX it just had a spinning wheel stall, not great but at least it kept the app alive. I expect new stuff will be on the way soon.

How can you lose a room. A room is a connected streamer, and if the last streamer (room) is not in use no more, when you open the app, it will search for all rooms that is all streamers on the network. If the last room (streamer is still akctive the app should open bup to where you left when you closed it or put the phone to sleep.

Claus, when I updated to 5.7.4 from 5.7.3 I had to manually enter the 'room' which is my 272 as the app update did not appear to remember it had just moments before been connected to the 272.
otherwise everything else seems ok with this version.
