Again app problems.

 Again no rooms found on iPad 3 on iPad 2 and on iPhone 6. Checked everything router and airport express pinged everything and everything is online but no rooms found.

This is going on for months now. I am disappointed in Naim not to be able to solve this problem. I contacted Naim and told them what I think is wrong but no answer back, importer phoned me but also no message back. Service for a premium product is not premium. You can see that the app comes up with the popup for new Naim products and under the pop up I can see my uniti but cannot reach it.

You can say what you want about customer loyalty but I am really serious thinking about leaving Naim for other brands after 22 years of being a loyal customer.

Sounds crazy but when I have the no room found issue I switch from 2.4 to 5ghz WiFi as my AP provides both then rooms present themselves, even though the iPad can browse internet etc. 

I have seen this issues several times, I own 2x iPads, and several android devices with similar no room found errors. Previous Naim app I had no problems. Just got used to it now until next release. When things get bad I get off my arse and use the Naim remote and 272 screen.

I have the same problem as you no rooms founds around 3  months and sometimes no network

If that fails, turn off the streamer, any switch, and your router. Then turn them on again, router, then switch then streamer, leaving a few minutes between each for the network to sort itself out. 

 

I did it as you said here, closed my NDS closed my router but it solved only for a short time

Two additional suggestions: (1) make certain there is only one device running the Naim app at any one time, and (2) close everything on the device running the Naim app except the Naim app. I have taken to using a dedicated iPad for the app and browsing while listening to music on a separate laptop .

I can't be certain but I think it's Bluetooth related. Switch that off as I've done not perfect but it appears to be a little less temperamental.

Having read all these "screaming" I wanted to give a chance to 5.7.4 on my iPhone. From the set up I earmarked UQ but ended up with "muso 991B". Must be a joke! Apart from misnomer, some functions are unusable and even on iRadio so called new shite hangs. Of course, I right away deleted the latest version from my phone.

Thankfully I hold on to rock solid 4.9 on my iPad. I understand now how people here are badly burnt.

Today's (yesterdays release date v2.1 (8209) firmware revision is now causing me a heap of pain, with iOS 10 10.33, App version 5.7.4 build 507405. The App 'Cannot find my room', press OK, App shuts down. Delete the App cannot find room. Set up a new device and it works again EXEPT now Tidal drops out as well as iRadio.

Any other issues similar out there?

My iPad and iPhone 7 app seems to be working fine at the moment but when I press on "check for updates" the app crashes.

The app works now for one whole day. Nothing changed in my setup. So strange this behaviour only what i see that every time that A cd comes to an end and i want to put another cd on it looks for rooms but at least it finds it. There has to be another way of streaming because this gives people headaches. They got to find a simpel way for solving this ongoing problem for many.

They all have names like that. Just change it to one you prefer.

The current release 5.7.4 still has the crash problem.   Next release should have it fixed

That won't solve it. This is still a problem in the current release version 9.7.4 but Naim have a fix which will be in the next release of the app. You can only check for updates of products with OTA updates ie New Uniti, muso and Qb anyway.
