ND5 plays DSD64 providing it has firmware version 4.3 or later (when DSD was embodied) DSD64 is also called 2.8, referring to the single bit sampling rate of 2.8224 MHz ----- this is '64' times the CD sampling rate of 44.1 kHz

TBH I know very little about JRiver. I know it can handle DSD but I believe it needs setting up to do this. If yours is not already done & you need to know how, I suggest you go to JRiver to get the instructions on this. I see instructions are published on www but I can't know which/what is applicable to your JRiver.
